The Horni Cerekev town lies 16 kilometres southeast of Pelhrimov and 24 kilometres southwest of Jihlava, at the border between Bohemia and Moravia. The town is set in the picturesque landscape of Ceskomoravska Vrchovina full of hills, woods, green fields and ponds in the pleasant climate of 600 metres above the sea level. In the town’s centre there is a newly reconstructed park of T. G. Masaryk. Right in the town several ponds suitable for fishery are located- “Zamecky pond”, “Frejlach”, “Truhlarsky pond”, “Stici pond”. You can also find there a chateau. It has been rebuilt in 1684 and lately by the Hohenzollern family. They were owners of this beautiful property till the end of the World War II.
